Dubbed the "First Lady of the press," Helen Thomas is renowned for her fearless questioning of people in power. She claims an emasculated US press is letting the public down.
Over recent years, Thomas' uncompromising stance has seen her blacklisted by the Bush administration. "She alone asked the tough questions leading up to the invasion of Iraq", states bureau chief Chuck Lewis. Even today, she has lost none of her motivation: "Outrage. That's my adrenaline. Outrage, anger and injustice."

Re Jake: yeah, he's a lapdog too, even tho he raises his head in protest every once in awhile. None of the WH reporters ever go out on a real limb other than Helen and the guy from WND who gets treated like crap by the arrogant Gibbs.

@beethovenqueen She was not the only reporter who wasn't a lap dog. You may like her, and you're right - no one is all good or all bad, but she had a pretty twisted view of things. And I prefer to get my news from someone who isn't so blatantly biased. Would you call Jake Trapper a lap dog? I wouldn't.
