In the summer of 2004, I received a nice CD gift from Jan McReynolds, our friend in Aspen. The audio CD included songs by John Denver. When I listened to the song, I Want to Live, I immediately thought of my beautiful autistic grandchild, Christopher.
My daughter Julie, a single mom, has been looking after Christopher for more than a decade, and no person has done more to keep him happy and safe. Christopher is now a grown boy, and he is thriving, thanks to Julie's hard work and total dedication to her son.
On November 12, 2004 after listening to John Denver's song, I decided to produce a PowerPoint using various slides of Christopher, along with his mom, Julie, his uncle David, and his grandparents Ann, and me.
It was not until I revisited this file long buried in my computer on June 10, 2011, that I thought about making a DVD of it. Consequently, I used the same PowerPoint sequence and produced a DVD using "Memories on TV" software, I am very proud of this music video. This story depicts the great love and compassion that Julie has for Christopher. It is so important that Christopher knows and realizes that people love and care for him. The lyrics by John Denver match Christopher's life.
This music video was produced with love for Julie and Christopher . Finally, I came forth with the courage to turn my PowerPoint into a video so that others can share this truly moving story. We can all learn from adversity. Think positively, as Julie has done, and the world will be a better place.

This is an improved version that has been uploaded today and substituted for the one that I uploaded yesterday. Spelling errors were corrected, titles centered, and several photos lightened. Still the same very high quality coming from an AVI file that was uploaded. Enjoy!
