I just read this about the piece: "...although in A minor, it modulates to C minor. Not only is this jarring, it also puts the music in a harmonic region where the instruments simply cannot play in tune...the singer (a boy at the time), too, is asked to sing lower than support permits. Thanks so much for posting this wonderful Bach aria! Who was the oboe da caccia soloist? (By the way, aren't there supposed to be TWO caccia players? Or was that bassoonist playing the 2nd caccia part?)
