  • You make it look so simple but I do have one question. There is a bare copper wire shown in the original box and it appears tp leave out the bottom mount hole; where do you have it attatched in the new box? Btw, thanks for showing this vid, it is going to save me a mega bundle because an electrician came in and quoted me a price on a new car...lol.

  • @NomandiaPrime That runs to the ground rod, that ground is carried via the 4 conductor cable to the sub panel

  • Ok, here the thing. I am currently working on running power to my backyard shed/surfboard shaping shack. I'm only going to have 3 circuits. One for two florescent light fixture on the walls (side lights), one for two overhead florescent fixtures, and one circuit for 4 electrical outlets. I just purchased a 100A breaker box (square D) I intend to run all 3 circuits @ 20A. It appears that the box I picked up doesn't have a main breaker lug? I would like to run a 60A main breaker.

  • @Strankon I would use a 60A breaker to feed the box your new box and forgo a main breaker. Not really needed for a sub panel. Just need to make sure you have an isolated ground (4 wires going to the box).

  • @Strankon I'm assuming I would have to use a 60A breaker in my main breaker panel in my house as the main disconnect for my shed. I would prefer to have a main disconnect in the shed, or sub panel. how can I accomplish this?

  • I like the info. I need to install a sub-panel and I need to see how to bring the wire from the main panel to the sub-panel step by step.. from how to disconnect the cable from the main panel to joining the sub-panel box an inch beside the main panel, where to connect it to code and where to put the ground and the neutral wire if there is no ground screw. Thanks if you could send my the video to songsfromatir@yahoo.com. I will be sharing your video on facebook thanks
