Erdington, Birmingham, England. The year this came out I was madly in love with Wendy Morris. I still am although I hav'nt seen her since '69. She was a beautifull strawberry blonde 16. God if only I hade a time machine.!! This track brings it all back, the fashion, the music, the fabulous sixties.

He must be getting on a bit now, but so are we all. At the time thought this was a shoo in at No, 1, but was learning quick that a lot of absolutely beautiful records didn't make No, 1 and a lot of rubbish ones did.

My friend, it wasn't meant to be! How many great 'Wendy's" did you miss out on, trying to find the 'Wendy' that never existed. Many of us have been there and I applaude your singlemindedness. But, in the end, wendy probably doesn't even remember you. I wish it was different, but it isn't. Great song!!!!!
