Right from wrong is based on social constructs; infanticide was acceptable in Roman society as you didn't count as a person until age 2. Kinda ruins the concept of me being dumb.

Everything must be justified in its restrictions - If there was an honest reason for the Bible being homophobic then it would be fine to say that one should not be gay. The point is that it is only conservatism that drills this into people, there is no reason to ban homosexuality. The Bible is correct in its dislike of lies, theft and murder, but only because it is justifiable to dislike these things, not because it says so.
