In part 2 of this 4 part series, Elbert Peck (Editor of Sunstone Magazine from 1986 to 2001) discusses many of the central people of Sunstone, including Leonard Arrington, Eugene England, Lavina Fielding Anderson, Orson Scott Card, and many others.
Elbert is an inveterate liar. I regret to say that. I'm sure it's not conscious or willfull on his part but due to his selective memory and heroic self-image--as well as his deference to status. I did not boo Scott Card, as Elbert claims. I have never seen Scott Card in person. I remember seeing Scott's picture once in Sunstone and thinking, oh that's what he looks like. Nor have I ever booed anyone else. --Ron Priddis
