I think Stroke per length (SPL) depends on several elements. The main one is powerful catch and pull, because this is the main source of propulsion, the second one is powerful kicking which can contribute up to 10% of propulsion. Physical condition naturally determines the SPL.
she won 6 gold medals in 2009, Take advice from her she knows what she is talking about.
