Try aim the gun in a fixed stop, and don't move it. Get the pilot to fly straight towards you. Cosine error will always give the "driver of the speeding car" a lower speed
Very nice video. The doppler radar may have read low compared to the 'How Fast' on some passes since the flight path and gun were not head-on as the reading was taken. Video shows how read out is obtained from multiple passes of plane. Thanks for sharing test results.
