This video reviews highlights from the Sikh Coalition's 2008 work. Unfortunately, not all of the successes can be captured. The Coalition encourages all Sikhs to fearlessly practice their faith and stand up for their rights.

  • Now is the time to support an organization such as the Sikh Coalition. We need a representation in America where people can easily distinguish Sikhs just like in India. I believe that we all have to do our part in educating our community about who we are and the job has to start from myself. It's easy to say that we should do this or that but its more effective to take it upon yourself to do what you believe in. I hope that I can do my part.

  • Wow damn. I had lost total faith in the U.S. legal system but these achievements show that it can work. I would love to become part of fighting for civil and religious rights for my people. I'm going to try to get involved some how. Good job, proud of you guys for standing up and fiercely fighting back to get justice just like our Gurus have taught us. I'm just curious on how much more progress have we made in these 3 years after this vid was made.

  • Good job amar singh ji keep it up waheguru tuhanu chardi kala bakhse te har medan fateh hove

  • I agree, but do you have some examples of this? Often times when people claim "reverse discrimination", it's totally unfounded.

  • Umm...you do realize that America was stolen from Native Americans, right? So, if we take your advice, we should ALL go back to where our ancestors came from, because none of us are true Americans...obviously that's dumb. Seriously, get some new material already...

  • Sikh Coalition is a positive step to protect Sikh rights. At the same time though, I hope it doesn't go too far and starts reverse-discrimination against non-Sikh Americans. I already see that some of the Sikhs, especially the people protecting Sikh rights, are starting to abuse the little freedom they are given. I hope American Govt. doesn't allow them to abuse the freedom. If you want fairness toward Sikhs, you shouldn't deny fairness to non-Sikhs as well. So, do not discriminate while hiring.
