I finally watched all of these. I bought and played the game when I was about 9 years old and it was usually too scary to play alone. Will you make another video like with the first showing some stuff you missed? I remember using one of the two crosses to open a door somewhere in the gardens...

Thank you for watching.I admit i really thought about making such a video, but i really can´t say what i missed and what not, this game is full of huge secret places and easy accessable places,which will not affect the playthrough. But i don´t think we will see something really different, because this game is simply missing some "special" moments. In the first game, there were scripted actions and scenes,which were nice to discover.But E2 has barely something in common with E1.

What do you think of this compared to the first one?

I liked parts of it a lot. Huge area! Was it just me or did it lack some of the black humor that was in the first one? Or did you just not show off those parts?

I think the first game had a much deeper atmosphere.You were much more vulnerable to your enemies. The almost invulnerable werewolf is lurking around every corner. That creates a high tension and sometimes a state of panic.

Did you notice that every enemy in ecstatica 1 is unique? Ecstatica2 is a huge game, but its based on long runs from lever to lever. I think thats the reason for the lack of black humor.The world doesn´t interact with you.

It would be great if they did a remastered version of Ecstatica 1.

Amazing run buddy!

I remember playing both Ecstatica games with care and ease but prefered the first one over the second. Actually I never got to end the second journey because it was confusing and even uninteresting at times. Thanks for filling that empty on my old gaming spirit lol.

BTW, this was released on the same year Little Big Adventure 2 came out and I couldn't resist Twinsen's Odyssey. So i prefered to play it instead of this. I enjoyed Alone in the Dark too... oh memories.

Yes. Number 1 seemed to have more this element of surprise. Much more interesting ideas and details in the universe. It felt more like an adventure game with puzzles and complex characters. Felt more like a story, which was the main appeal to me.

Number 2 has instead this royal RPG-ish system with this queen-figure(?) congratulating you. The enemies were mostly an endless stream running towards you all the time. And few other characters. I missed the interaction. But lovely run tho!
