  • hahaha. Bush Sr. is the one that banned drilling. hahaha. Also, 10 years ago Congress was REPUBLICAN and they would've been the ones to pass a bill for drilling. Bush only suppported this drilling after he knew it wouldn't pass through congress. What a fraud.

  • Seriously, if Kerry had won, and the price of ketchup went up 400%, everyone would blame him. Where is the accountability for Bush?

  • I'm surprised this video hasn't been played more by the media. It should be viral! Not that Obama has handled this very well, but the oil industry was given a free pass when G.W. was in office.

  • the chickens have come home to roost

and people are blaming Obama ? any scapegoat will do I guess. Why think when you can blame.

  • But sadly carter was also a member of the evil CFR that was a bad choice.

We need to start drilling again, yes solar and wind is good, but we haven't drilled in years, baldwin is right, we have more oil in alaska than it is in saudi arabia, we don't need opec.

  • He almost said capital hole at 0:21.

  • 30 years ago our President installed Solar Panels on the Whitehouse-a visionary who foresaw the seriousness of the energy crisis...

It's time to look to the past to gain insight for the future...

Electric with Wind, Wave, Geo-Thermal and Solar.

Just think how far this technology would have progressed by now.

Obviously the Energy Crisis would have been solved by now.

It's time to be patriotic about ending the energy crisis--President Carter set a good example.

  • You just proved my point again. You are right! US oil production has little to do with the worlds crude price. Therefore, raising our production a bit by drilling, will not lower gas prices.

Bush "speculates" drilling will help because "gas prices are high due to supply & demand." I say they are high due to speculators manipulating the market. YOU said the price has dropped 30 cents since the speech. BUT supply has not increased!! THEREFORE the price goes down due to changes in speculation.

  • So why would the presidents speech, stop the speculators from speculating ? Are you saying there is some White House conspearcy ?

Ive always heard too that the US has little to do with the price of crude. It's determined on the world market. Ever hear that ? Probably not going by your prior statements.

  • You just proved my point. I said gas prices are high because of market speculation manipulating the prices, NOT based on supply/demand. Since his speech, NO supply has increased, No demand has decreased. Yet, prices went down, why? Due to market speculation. No other product does this. We must tell Republicans to quit blocking the bill that would decrease market influence on gas prices, release gas from our reserves, and illegalize price gouging.
