@officialbabyloca These animals (parrots) are smarter then dogs and cats and require more attention and care then other animals. This is what many people do not understand and is the reason many macaws, amazons, greys and other parrots end up in rescues. Until U do some very hard research and thinking I would advise against it.

African Greys can be a lot worse than just swearing.. My Yuki, a Congo African Grey, is a member of the Parrot Mafia--she swoops down on my shoulder when I am having dinner and extorts food from me by threatening to chew off my ear lobe if I don't give her choice pickings!

@officialbabyloca Yes Parrots are very smart and some species such as The African Grey seen here are capable of cognitive thought processes. HOWEVER getting a parrot simply because you would think it funny that they "talk" is NOT a reason to own one. Please research as much as you can before undertaking such a lifelong responsibility as many species of parrots live upwards of 30-90 years with good diets. Also be aware that each parrot is an individual even amongst its species and some NEVER talk
