California State University San Bernardino Recognized By European CEO Magazine Cal State San Bernardino's College of Business and Public Administration was just recognized by European CEO Magazine as one of the top 22 schools of business in the world. This Global Business Education Award recognizes the world's leading centres of excellence. On this segment of Today's Inland Empire, we talked with Dr Karen Dill Bowerman and some of her professors about their program. Education development issues have been increasingly highlighted by the readers of European CEO Magazine as a topic of great concern. They appreciate that to develop a modern business their staff must be trained to the very highest possible standards. In recognition of this they are introducing for the first time their Global Business Education Awards. These awards will provide recognition of the world's leading centres of excellence. Unlike other Business Education award programmes, their judging panel was seeking out institutions large or small that truly add value to the total development of corporate executives - and not just in terms of their salary expectations. The judges are not swayed by perceived reputation. European CEO's award selection panel has used a wide range of criteria to inform its decision over its 2010 Global Business Education Awards, lending the critical eye of a collective 205 years of business journalism and business experience to the exhaustive information gathered by the award body's research team. The Mission of the College of Business and Public Administration, California State University San Bernardino, is to create a student - centered learning community that prepares students to become productive members in business, government, and global society. We provide quality undergraduate and graduate programs that positively affect students' development as professionals. We place priority on excellence in teaching that is enhanced by the commitment of faculty to continuing professional development, intellectual contributions and service. The faculty's intellectual contributions will primarily be a mix of applied research or contributions to practice and learning or pedagogical research. We serve a culturally and globally diverse student body by preparing the student to deal with a changing and diverse environment. Through community service, partnerships and initiatives, the College serves as an intermediary for the exchange of knowledge and expertise between the University, the regional community, and the larger world.
