Brittany relates her personal experience with the dental assistant program at Ultimate Medical Academy. "I'm in the dental assistant program at UMA. It's a shorter program, which is great because you do what you have to do and learn what you have to learn, and then get out there and get to work."
Brittany praised the UMA faculty and staff, noting, "The people care for you here. My teachers definitely cared about what I was doing and how well I was doing. They would get excited when I was doing well."
In addition to classroom and lab work, UMA's dental assistant program gave Brittany the opportunity to practice her skills in a real-world setting. "The externship is a great way to bridge the gap between what I learned at school and what I'll actually be doing in a dental office. I have confidence now because I have the experience to go into a dental office and say, 'Hi. I'd like to interview for the position, and I'm the candidate that you need.'"
