Arrangement of Barbra Allen in Open A. I've only ever heard Tom Rush's great version of this song - I think he does it in Open D. Typical folk song - boy falls in love, gets rejected, dies of a broken heart, girl starts having second thoughts and decides to die too and they get happily together in the after-life as a rose and a briar. They don't write songs like this any more! I've never understood what her name is - Barbara, Barbra or Barbary

  • Beautiful guitar with a wonderful "wooden" tone.

  • Based on the inlay on the neck and the tone, I think this may be a vintage Larrivee D series guitar.

  • Based on the inlay on the neck, I think this may be a Larrivee guitar

  • based on the inlay on the neck... I think this may be a Larrivee dreadnaught
