A video for songs where Courtney mentions something that could be related to Kurt.
Beautiful Son -"My Beautiful Son!"
Asking for It - "If you live through this with me I swear that I will die for you"
Doll Parts - "K stands for knife for the rest of YOUR LIFE"
Old Age - "Rest in piece and me in pieces... I'm sorry..."
Drunk in Rio (Written with Kurt) - "Baby won't you wait a while. I just wanna watch you bleed. Come on baby stay a while. I want you inside of me"
Malibu - "Get well soon please don't go any higher. How are you so burnt when you're barely on fire? Cry to the angels, I'm gonna rescue you I'm gonna set you free tonight, baby, pour over me..."
Reasons to be Beautiful - "Hey you were right. Named a star for your eyes. Did you freeze, did you weep? Turn to gold, baby sleep. Hey, honey mine, I was there all the time, and I weep at your feet and it rains and it rains..."
Dying - "And now I know that love is dead. You've come to bury me. There's nothing left here to pretend. Misery!"
Use Once and Destroy - "Ooh, ooh I will follow you. Anytime anywhere. Ooh ooh when they come for you, just say you don't care..."
Northern Star - "AND I WANT YOU, AND BLESSED ARE THE BROKEN AND I BEG YOU, NO LONELINESS NO MISERY IS WORTH YOU, OH TEAR HIS HEART OUT COLD AS ICE ITS MINE"
Boys on the Radio - "I know where you are running to, oh come back, now come back again. I hear the truth its coming from you, aw come back please come back again"
Hold on to Me - "Hey this life is never fair. The angels that you need are never there. But sometimes he comes to me, in the dead of winter, dead of night he's all that I can see"
Almost Golden - "And my oh my he's in his glory, yeah. Watch him tearing me down with such a vengeance. Hold on to me, yeah baby hold hold on tight. Yeah we'll just see which one of us gets out alive..."
Hello - "What's the matter? My baby's dead, his heart went blind on me..."
Honey - "And I hold on to you, watched the death of an angel..."
Pacific Coast Highway - "I knew a boy who left me so damaged, do you even know the extent? What you ravaged"
For Once in Your Life - "And I've crawled on glass, to grasp at straws, stuttering, staggering through. And I've pierced the last hole in my arm to gouge out the pieces of you. In your staggering stuttering grief, and your neverending need and your terrible awful deeds and your lack of truth in these things"
Happy Ending Story - "TELL ME THE STORY! Watch you wilt and watch you bloom imprisoned in the depths of him, a loneliness that defies all belief. The rage that's lost the war that's won, the battle that has just begun, he haunts me to the marrow of my grief..."

  • Dang, how did you know the lyrics to Happy Ending Story?

  • @Bleak I just listened super hard haha :)

  • Malibu, Hold Onto Me, Dying and Boys On the Radio were not inspired by Kurt according to Courtney. Hold Onto Me was inspired by Russell Crowe if you can believe that.

  • @melfaery Courtney said on Twitter that Malibu was inspired by Kurt and a boyfriend from the 80's, I do not belive the Russell Crowe story, she says Dying is about Trent Reznor but who believes that, and Boys on the Radio, as she has directly stated, the bridge is based off of Sugar Coma, which was written about Kurt

  • If you don't believe the Russell Crowe story you don't believe Courtney b/c she said the song was inspired by Russell Crowe on a talk show. It's on videotape, dude. Sugar Coma was written about Kurt and the song structure was an early incarnation of Boys on the Radio, but the lyrics from Boys on the Radio was not an "allusion to Kurt". Before Courtney even had a Twitter account (and I suspect before you even became a fan of Hole) she denied in interviews that Malibu was inspired by Kurt.

  • @melfaery Even though I'm a huge fan of Hole, I'm willing to admit that Courtney lies A LOT. There's really no way of knowing that either of us are right because you can't go back to the time and place where Courtney wrote the song. Besides, if you go on "Cry Me A River", a Hole fansite, there are tons of quotes by Courtney saying what songs are about. She says Violet is about Rozz and then she says that its about Kurt or that it's about Billy Corgan.

  • Listening to Hole through these last 10 years and more, I just realized that most of her songs (post Kurt's death) are just about Cobain and her own ache.. i don't believe in things like "inspirated by Rusell Crowe or someone else" come on, she's been tormented by Kurt's death and what she gives to us it's just her feeling !! LOVE...

  • @courtneylove4 ahaha you're right!

  • @melfaery Courtney often lies with the media but on twitter she always says the truth

  • @SmellsLikeCreep fraggle rock! You're right, that's a good one! Yeah Playing Your Song is awesome but it seemed angry, and I wanted this video to be more... sad. Thank you! :)
