-
considering everyone who is serious about hunting blackies on the west coast would assume your talking about a 5 pnt with eye guards, you might want to change the way you talk about racks, its a 4 pnt

@jade616 Yes, many would call this a 4pt buck with eye guards or brow tines. And I do too sometimes. But I am a measurer for Pope & Young, NW Big Game, NMLRA, Oregon Shed Hunters, etc. I follow the conventions of the official measuring protocol so I often speak/write about antlers as they are formally referred in measuring context. I score many racks each year. See my comment to @backwoodsboys97 below for the detail on point count. Not sure why people are hung up on this; it is what it is.

To the other questions regarding the location, this buck was on public land, Thurston County. This fall I rattled/called in 6 bucks this year including a couple decent 110" class deer, public land during rifle season. I bowhunt with a rifle tag and shot my buck at 15 yards on 11/21 after rattling him in.

@backwoodsboys97, You can take your insults elsewhere. Brow tines are G1, the rear tine of the rear fork is G2, the front tine of the rear fork is G3, and the G4 is the rear tine of the front fork formed by that tine and the main beam. If you were educated on the appropriate antler structure and naming conventions of blacktails (and mule deer for that matter), you'd not bothered with your sarcastic comment.
