1976 at SNL studios in 30 Rockefeller Plaza. I along w/ millions of kids watched it live on TV. Great comedians and musicians in a mythical time that won't come back again. Godspeed.

I like this song. To me is a masterpiece. It remains me when I was a student in California. During Winter time I used to listen this and others songs from Simon and Garfunkel while watching thru my window on my room, thinking about my parents that were on my country.

In 1969, I was a young flight steward with QANTAS Airways and I can still remember the first time I heard this song! I was sitting in the crew bus at Kennedy Airport waiting for transport into the Lexington Hotel. Suddenly, over the audio system in the bus I heard Simon & Garfunkel singing :The Boxer"! It was a moment that still lives with me in 2011! I have memorized every word over the years and to this day, it remains one of the great pieces of philosphical poetry in the musical lexicon!
