I have to stay electric (in this case this was a 700W 3548 Turnigy motor with 4000 mah)
I switched to a much quieter scorpion SII 3014 but i lost some power so i have to becareful not to stall when climbing. getting a 3020 scorpion soon, with a 13x4prop and 11 v 3s i should get closer to 1:1 thrust to weight ration. (2547 grams of thrust)
Hi stormranger6, excellent altitude and the switch from rear to forward view is a nice touch. The electric is great for 500 feet altitude but after that the electric engine starts losing amps and the needed energy to spin the prop. With a 3 pound aircraft and a o.s. 40 you can go a 1000 plus and cover a 20 mile horizon. Keep the video rolling...... 007 Wingman. Watch out for low flying aircraft..

she is big too ,65 inch wing span, easier to see at higher altitudes
