Burnaby BC - Man gunned down in daytime shooting

On Wednesday October 14, 2009 at approximately 4:30 PM Burnaby RCMP received a report of multiple gun shots fired at the rear of a building in the 7700 block of Edmonds Street. On arrival a man was found in an SUV suffering from several gunshot wounds. BCAS paramedics and firefighters performed CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooting occured in the rear parking lot of a building that housed a dance studio and martial arts gym. RCMP did recover 2 guns in a nearby neighbourhood where it is believed the suspects tossed them into the street when fleeing the area. IHIT is not investigating.
