It prepares them for what they are about to get involved with - peace keeping. Hence why the UK forces in Iraq had far less trouble with the locals.
I have never seen a scene like that outside any night club. :) They made that up.
The US ads says "kick ass".

It's better than the American adverts, but every prospective recruit should have to watch footage of a full day of a soldier's life in Afghanistan or whatever hellhole they might be deployed to when they join. Still, it's good the army is starting to focus on things other than killing as it's role develops in the changing world environment.

@randomusernamemygod no i got my info from my grandfather who was in the US Army air corp who went over to england to help fly with the raf and he did not give up his us citizenship
