I absolutely love hearing my grandfather's language alive and well today. It's like a window into the past, thousands of years ago when Celts were more widespread and you could probably hear similarly related languages all over Europe and sometimes beyond.

Why wasn't Alistair Darling's words translated like English news does when someone speaks a foreign language? I realise everyone watching BBC Alba would be able to understand English but I think it would be good to have it translated. Not that I'd be able to understand it but one day I will.

I'm Irish and go to school through Irish and I can understand this they are so alike If anybody speaks scottish listen to Irish and see if you can understand it
