@t2491tom I TRIED. I try every ubuntu, fedora, suse edition. Until now they still suck. And another thing: You are not smarter than other people if you use linux. Jesus man, how can you compare gimp to photoshop? What customization? Desktop? You must be joking. You can run wow in fullscreen, ok. Try something like Crysis. I laugh at you.

@dnzota Actually you can run WOW in linux full screen with full frame rate now a days lol. Also more and more games are being developed for linux. Also there are fantastic audio and video apps for linux. Many pros use linux because it allows for so much customization. "Can You run CAD software or 3dsmax of Photoshop or Flash?" Yes. Gimp doesn't suck ass of you know what you're doing (blender does suck, but blender is not linux). The software that comes with linux is amazing. Ect... try linux!

Can You run wow in full screen? Can You run wow at the same frame rate and detail as in Windows? What about new games? How about pro sound recording and editing? Can You run CAD software or 3dsmax of Photoshop or Flash? Please don't say anything about Gimp or Blender, they suck ass.. The software that comes on Linux is shit. Video drivers are shit. Fuck desktop effects, they suck. Why do I ever need to open the console and type in shitty ass 300 characters commands? That's NOT user friendly.

@dnzota Dont blame linux for not being able to play crysis, dumbshit. Ubuntu is perfectly capable of gaming, in fact, better at windows. However, nobody produces games for it. Its like dumping iOS because it cant play CoD4.

windows is a toy operating system, for toy tasks. If you need to perform serious tasks you need a serious OS.. open/freeBSD or Linux are some nice ones.
As long as its openGL windows dont stand a chance.. DirectX is possible, but not optimal.. But thats Micro$ofts fault, not linux.
If you think windows is awesome, and linux bad, then you are not computer literate at all.
DirectX is the only advantage for windows. Linux pees on windowns in every other aspect. (opengl draws faster btw :))
