Promo video directed by Luke Losey. 'Not Seventeen' is a single from their debut album 'Instinct', released in 2000. It can also be found on the US release 'Solace'. Mandalay was Saul Freeman and Nicola Hitchcock (vocals).

  • I had no idea V2 Music released more videos from Solace except Beautiful! Is there more of it?

  • As far as I know, there was a video for every single of theirs (Deep Love, This Life etc.), unfortunately, I don't have them. I do have an alternate version for Beautiful, though. I'll try to upload this later.

This video is quite nice, isn't it? In a new-agey, late '90s way. :)

  • I have always loved this track.

I thought it was brilliant to use a sample from Gorecki's most amazing piece of music about The Holocaust.

I was managing a music store when this came out & this cd played a lot in the morning for me keeping this night owl somewhat civil in the morning lol.

If you get a chance have a listen to the original Gorecki piece.

    It is called

Gorecki Symphony No. 3 Sorrowful Songs - Lento e Largo

It can bring a rush of sad emotions though so be prepared.

  • très jolie morceau, tout simplement.

  • skip to 0:20 for the vid. hope it helps. (:

  • @mopmonkey Okay... I've listened to Passive Aggressive as well, but I think it would've been better with Saul's inputs.

  • @ski808 -sorry,I disagree...her solo cd,Passive Aggressive, was very good. I DO miss Saul's contribution,but have always loved Nicola's vocals

  • nicola hitchcock was never the same after mandalay broke up. huge loss.

  • The last track of the 2007 Live Mix is based on this song, but has a faster beat.

  • Exactly, and it's absolutely brilliant. Thank you for uploading it. It'd be even better if we could hear what they sound like 10 years ahead. If they could only get back together.
