  • I believe the answer is yes - with an analog mixer you would have to finish your mix and record it to some medium (CD, Hard drive, Dat or Cassette). The StudioLive will allow you access to all of those mediums, and yes you can store your presets if you need to come back to them. I hope that is what your question was.

  • You may not need a digital mixer, but having 16 awesome mic preamps and dedicated EQ and Compression while you are recording live or in a studio is a big plus. Consider saving all your setups for recording and then recalling them for different situations. The noise floor on this mixer is incredibly low making it one of the best DAW interface controllers in its class. For those that are interested we have a special club price login and save.

  • if you're shopping for one of these, get a ramsa da7 used for about $700, it does all of this with automated faders and better components throughout!

  • with analog mixers, do u have to mix and store the track before starting a new song???

i'd assume so because it doesn't save the levels or pannings on an analog mixer?

  • How can i print the changes in EQ and Dynamics processing in post production into my DAW? I use Sonar and I cant do that. i'm really frustated cause a followed the user's manual and it didnt work.

  • Um lets see, analog would be like a black & white TV and digital would be like a color TV. FYI this mixer combine both.

FWIW in the audio world analog is still king. for example go in to a music store listen to a digital amp modeler then go try out a real tube amp, and then you'll understand why analog is still king. Hope this helps, if not find another hobby.

  • whats the difference betwenn a digital and a analog good video

  • Its very nice for us low end guys but no control surface? Its not for post audio then? can I keep my Yamaha O1X and use this for pre and mixing?

I asked the guy at guitar center, he appeared to be confused and hostile as an approach to this product. Why no flying faders? He said because to keep the price down.

  • Hi!

    I already have Cubase,

    I need a digital mixer?

    and why?

    Thank you.

  • Wow.. very informative. Job well done! :)~
