This is footage is from the workshop production with a small cast of only 18 people. The cast members were relatively young (ages ranging 14-20) and only one is currently studying acting professionally. If the show is professionally produced, it offers versatile casting and musical numbers with cast size ranging 25-45. The show is around two hours and fifteen minutes and consists of 23 all-original songs as well as 19 additional musical numbers for scene changes, underscoring, etc.

Written by Edward Bean and Trevor Dorner of Perrysburg, OH, Ottville is a story of political turmoil in a fictitious town called "Ottville." It is suggested the town is in America during the early 20th century, but several references and characters' nationalities make the show quite ambiguous in both time and location. The story is of a divided town in which the wealthy have complete rule and the workers are forced to live in poverty.
Frederick, Toby, and their fellow poor workers lead a revolt against the government, aimed mainly at the despised Colonel Stagston and Henry Ottman, the figurehead of the town. Victoria, Henry's niece, is sick of the Colonel's marriage proposals and seeks love in someone different... Frederick.
Political, social, and romantic turmoil engulfs the town of Ottville in this riveting and humorous tale of forbidden love and forced class division.
