the official video to the kate bush cover song running up that hill by placebo, i really don't like this band at all but since i like kate bush i have to acknowledge that placebo did a great job covering this classic

@socogirl159 You're a tard - Placebo doesn't sing, they talk songs. That was fine for Frank Sinatra because he "talked" songs beautifully. Placebo sounds medicated like they're taking too many Tuinals.

this version is better than the original in my opinion. like placebo or not they are one of the most talented and under rated bands in the world especially here in the states where no one knows them for who they are but rather for a couple of singles of which any fans know what I'm referring to. Every cover they do pays amazing tribute to the great artists which they choose to cover.

everyone is all hooping and hollering about how this song is "dark" and "slow" and "creepy".
how?
you can interpenetrate the lyrics in so many ways, i don't see the "darkness" in the content of these lyrics. it just sounds like a thought that we all have from time to time about the world being perfect, but it isn't so we escape into our minds to find solace away from it. whats so "dark"about that???
it's just the way they covered it.
btw kate bush's style is better <--- opinion :) peace
