Barbarians are pretty good sometimes though. When you use Romans you have to keep them organized all the time or they will break and run.

I didn't listen to all of the people hating the Gauls so I formed an alliance with them. They payed me back by blockading my port. They no longer exist.

@cataphract333 Except my play style was so much more violent. Playing as the Romans I was much more conservative using cavalry charges (which I withdrew and re-attacked with) and the battlefield typically had certain areas with visible casualties (such as near walls).
On the other hand, playing as the barbarians, there were bodies EVERYWHERE. I looked like World War 1 No man's land.
