I disagree withg the bleeding and bruising part. I find placing the bar over the toes just as effective. I do have a question for you. Should I use any support for my heels, like a block of wood when doing any form of sqauts? I tend to tip forward when doing them.

The definition of DEADlift is a lift that starts from a DEAD stop, i.e., the floor. She didn't start from the floor. Her hands on the way down were way too far from her body. You can't tell the form is bad because there isn't any weight on the bar, but trust me if there was, the weight would have pulled her forward and rounded out her back.
