Strange Visitor

A huge snapping turtle paid a visit to my family.(That's my son behind the camera). We had to move the turtle because we couldn't open our front door. My dog, Sam did not like that turtle at all!

they do get alot larger then that were ever they live....it depends on what kills them that will prevent there growth...Why did u move him with a shovel????? should have used ur hands

@ryanwood9932 - First of all, we were VERY careful not to hurt him when we moved him with the shovel. Second of all, I wouldn't advise anyone to pick up a snapping turtle of any size with their bare hands (not if you value your fingers) and third of all, turtles carry all sorts of bacteria on their bodies (like salmonella) that can make a human very sick.

i have a common snapper like him. he's nearlly that size in our 120 gallon tank. he's just the cutest guy :) to think fit in the palm of my hand when we found him...
