I like Sandra, but I think a nomination would have been enough.There were other amazing actresses that year Carey Mulligan & Helen Mirren both gave powerful performances and Meryl Streep gave one of the most entertaining performances of the year. But it is rare to give an Oscar just for being an amazing entertainer , it is for that reason if it had my decision that the Oscar would have gone to Gabourey Sidibe.

@lissa16lissa: because there's a strong opinion that Streep was far-and-away more deserving of the Best Actress nod for her work in Julie & Julia than Sandra Bullock in 2010 and so at this years Oscars, instead of giving the BA nod to Viola Davis as most expected, the members gave the award to Streep as a "sorry we fucked up in 2010 so here's the award to make it up to you" so thus Davis lost out on an award she should've received.
