wouldnt be better to create a negative stencil and lay that down on the mesh then stroke the mosh podge glue stuff on with a squeege instead of painting it? that way it will be the exact image

@llueveagua Yes, because the acryllic paint/ ink may come out in the wash.

Use leftover latex paint your parents have instead of mod podge if you're having trouble finding some, it won't cost anything and it does a better job at masking with less leaks. Be sure to use it in a well ventilated area though, as it does have dangerous fumes.
