A somehow-both-tender-and-rowdy number about the joys of truly liberated lovemaking in zero gravity (or the tantric marriage of internal archetypes, depending on how Jungian you're feeling), which *supposedly* nobody has ever experienced. Maybe a bit too racy for the kiddos, your call.

Recorded live at Avery Brewing Company in Boulder, Colorado, USA, 14 January 2010 (my apology for the bad camera angle...it was either put it there, or in the middle of an avenue). For more info and more free audio from that night and many others, visit http://michaelgarfield.net.

Lyrics:

T plus one million seconds since we were shut in.
Air one-half atmosphere, tasting faintly of tin.
Food from a tube and crewmates rude from strain.
Count down five years until we'll feel rain again.
Muscles atrophe but appetites grow
so we take up new habits to stay in control
and in gravity, love is clumsy and raced
but coitus goes slow in zero with grace...

So kick off your flightsuit, and join me tumbling above
the beds where mere mortals make love.
You know I want you;
we both have nowhere to go,
watching our world through the rearview window.

It's a wafer-thin lifeboat keeping our cosm contained,
born to the cosmos and bearing our lives in its frame.
Minds made to wander will wither when shut in a pen,
but in zero with grace, there's infinite space
and so few other men!
In gravity, love was a violent game
but here, it appears we need love
to keep ourselves sane...

So kick off your flightsuit, and join me tumbling above
the beds where mere mortals make love.
You know I want you;
we both have nowhere to go,
watching our world through the rearview window.
Kick out the cameras, and let's slink off alone
from disappointed viewers at home.
I know you want to;
we both have nowhere to go
till we're rich but wish we'd kept video...

By the way, I love and endorse the LR Baggs M1 Active magnetic soundhole pickup and their Venue DI, both of which I used in the making of this video.
