Here's the July, 15 2009 2pm test of an American Signal AL-8000 Alertronic siren in Rockwall Texas. Not the most exciting siren video but it was the first time I had ever heard an Am Sig electronic siren. The Rockwall P-50 is next. :-)

  • They may actually be available in dual tone still. I noticed in the iForce manual (which uses the same control and tone generator) that it says under "System Options" that it says "l. Tone Selection S/T - D/T." I think it's possible that S/T means single tone and D/T means dual tone. It's just speculation but one can hope. And it's not like ASC can't make them dual toned.

  • Very nice video. That Alertronic sounds pretty nice, I'd say.

  • They use a ratio of 6/7 for dual-tone. The older ones uses that same ratio.

  • Awsome, just awsome

  • AWESOME VIDEO!

  • The Coolest part is when the truck drove by, changing the pitch of the siren for a second, weird but cool.

  • Awesome video of that AL-8000!

  • Sounds nice! Must be an older one since as far as I know they don't have the Allertronics available in dual tone anymore. The only thing that I don't like about the later Allertronics (like this one) is that they have no wind down like the first gen ones did.
