does it take a long time for you to render HDV footage?

Kids that are afraid that they're fat? Anyway, I thought it was interesting how she seems apologetic afterwards. I have to admit, THAT part is different.

Since I can't post in general messages, I'm coming here. I saw your comment about the blog and just wondered why you said the videos there are what THEY find compelling. I got the impression the blog was from SmartpowerPrez, not the judges. Do you know something I don't?

See? There's a perfect example! I responded to "what do you think?" and it shows up as the response to another question! Yikes.

Just one comment: The overly-sensitive woman who is afraid she's fat been done quite a bit.

The raw quality of the images seems much better than most of what I've seen here and better than what I've seen when I've had access to a pro camera. Is there a special trick in the equipment you used? Was that all your original footage?

Thanks. No it's all shot by me - Canon XH A1. Only thing "trick" wise is basic color correction, but nothing fancy or overly elaborate. That and a polarizer filter, which helps reduce glare from car windows, water, and darkens the sky to give it a bit more color and less haze, but nothing overly fancy in general.

Is a polarizing filter a lot different than a neutral density filter?
tralbry 4 years ago
Yes VERY different - Neutral density filter darkens everything in general. Polarizing filter only darkens the sky and polarized (reflected light). So if you need to shoot through a store window, a polarizer filter will eliminate glare so the window is barely visible for example. Or if you are shooting water, such as in the last shot, it will eliminate glare from the sky so you can see the water and ripples more clearly.
