A pine tree in the living room is a hallmark of the holidays. But this season, a lot of pine and other trees out there are under attack from pests. Tiny beetles are killing trees by the millions, and global warming could make things even worse.

  • Simple as it may seem our disastrous effect on the environment is crying out for the end of rainforest decimation, the reforestation of every piece of land available on a global scale, and perhaps far less babies being born.

    I'm sure nature will then sort itself out.

These are the concerns which I bear in mind. At the base of the problem, the question should be this: Is it more prudent to not take viable action that is not proven detrimental to our economy for the sake of uncertainty when global environment is concerned, or is it more prudent to take such action when we can...
