Do you English not understand that God Save the Queen is not a 'national anthem'. A true national anthem is when one refers to his or her nation or the liberty of its people. God Save the Queen, on the other hand, refers to one human being and making that human being into the nation or a godly figure. Despicable in this modern age of democracy!!!

epic!! As a saffa the English anthem brings goosbumps, the SA antem brings much more. I wish supporters from both sides would realise that the feeling would not be possible without the other team. The ethos of rugby is built upon respect and appreciation of opposition teams. The only reason we can celebrate (bask) in our teams victory is because we respect the power of that team. If they were not worthy opponents it would be a formality. Respect must be given where respect is due.
