Cats the Musical: Alyse Davie performs 'Moonlight' in Filipino

Cats the Musical continues its run in Manila, starring Lea Salonga as Grizabella. In this clip from the production, the first few lines of 'Moonlight' (sung to the tune of Memory) are sung in Filipino.

The multi award-winning poet Pete Lacaba translated the opening verse into Filipino, which goes as follows:
"Liwanag, hanapin ang liwanag
Ang iyong ala-ala ang gabay na sundin
Sa liwanag,, ligaya ay matatagpuan
Bagong buhay ay darating"
Aussie Alyse Davies who plays Sillabub sings Lacaba's Filipino rendering of the opening verse of 'Memory' in Act II of the show.
