Maybe is an exaggeration to say that this is the most beautiful and sad burial scene ever filmed... but maybe it really is.
Tal vez es una exageración el decir que esta es la más hermosa y triste escena de entierro jamás filmada... pero tal vez realmente lo es.

  • I can only echo the sentiments of previous viewers. Do you know if the film is available ... anywhere ... on either DVD, or VHS?

Many thanks for this intriguing, mournfully sad extract.

  • Very moving indeed. The composer, François de Roubaix, died of a diving accident. What a "Grand Bleu" impression.

  • Tout simplement divin ! ! !

  • I cried when I saw this scene, I could not imagine she would die. I've searched the scene for a long time I could only remember it was with Lino Ventura. Thanks for posting.

  • Eram os anos 70 e o cinema francês estava no auge - pelo menos, para nós. Essa canção, junto a Laetitia, ficaram na memória, por estes anos todos!

    Merci

  • As a child I was fascinated by this scene ...I dreamed about such a burrial

  • Merci !

  • @jessdelon2 I guess we both have had same experience! I was age of 6 when I saw this film. I cried and now I have tears in my eyes. :)

  • Merveilleux !

  • This scene always fears me. How deep might the ocean be there? Maybe thousands of meters.....and her dead body sinks slowly into the wide opened eyes of the sea, straight into the pitch black dark, to rest all alone on the bottom of the sea, in eternal darkness and cold, a diving suit as her coffin.

A terrible idea. I hope that I will never end this way :(
