So starting in iMovie '09 you can turn on Advanced Features in the preferences. This gives you the capability of doing green screen, picture-in-picture, cutaways and more. I filmed the iPhone app with the iSight camera on my laptop. Then I did a separate video using the iPhone mounted on my new tripod stand of just me talking. I then could drag the video of me talking over the footage of the iPhone app and a window comes up asking if I want Picture-in-Picture, green screen, cutaway, etc.
How did you do this with the picture-in-picture? Did you film yourself using the app, import the footage and then use an iSight camera to do the narration?
