I acknowledge your view as a valid one. It is not style of singing that blatantly brings in Rasikas. At the same time you should recognise a cult like following and devotees to his singing. If you can listen to this a few times then you will be hooked. It will make most other singers into popular types lacking the depth and soul.. Acquired Taste. Listen to MDR CD 10 times. Then see if how you feel. Good luck.
