  • Knee spring would only provide a displacement of approx 10cms which for each movement would provide such little extra force to a strike it would be statistically insignificant. The reason sine wave really exists is to give ITF TKD an identity other than shotokan karate or Kukkiwon TKD; depsite that my own personal view is sinewave patterns do look beautiful just as hip twist ones can look awful and vice-versa - depends totally on the practioner. Taekwon!

  • the best Ge-Baek Tul i`ve ever seen

  • @Silencer116 How does dropping your body downwards increase the power of a punch moving forwards???

  • @catchthesun15 He's first dan ITF style black belt. If you study WTF style then you will have different patterns.

  • Some ITF uses sine wave, my style of ITF uses hip twist to get power in technique. Each to their own.

  • Very nice to see someone doing these patterns like I use them. All that ITF sin-wave is nothing I like.

  • What degree is he? My forms so don't look like that.

  • This guy was my hero in the 80's and despite all the changes in TKD this is still top notch. Any idea what he's doing now and are there any more vids????

  • Very well done Tul !...Whether one uses Sine Wave or not ...the comments that are full of lack of respect and courtesy tell more about the Martial Artist and their teacher then anything...Taekwon!

  • Broken mirror? Sort it out lads.

  • Aye, agree sine wave is rubbish, it serves only to negatively reinforce each movement by creating a redundant force vector. The act of bouncing up and down, merely introduces damping into a force system that is based entirely on the rigidity and commitment of proper technique.

  • My school of Taekwon-Do does NOT do the sign wave, Our school is based on the orginal way Gen. Choi made the forms with a bit more japanese influence, both styles are cool, I just prefer the natural body formation or as some people call it the Korean Karate method lol, still cool though. Respect to all my TKD brothers and sisters
