Performed by Central Bucks High School-West Chamber Choir in the Princeton University Chapel.

Blow, Blow Thou Winter Wind is only one song of many in Matthew Harris's Shakespeare Songs Book IV. And this book is only one of five, at least two of which have been commissioned by the Central Bucks High School-West Choirs.

  • It was amazing...but you guys went a whole step sharp :(

  • I just listened to it again and, though I do hear many pitchy notes, I don't hear anywhere where it was a whole step sharp. Could you please tell me where (time or lyrics are fine)?

  • Who cares if you guys went sharp? Can I take a moment to remark on the AMAZING VOCAL TECHNIQUE here??? Oh my goodness, and for a high school choir!! Simply amazing! Keep up the amazing work! Your balance and blend is the most impressive. Just WOW. Great job guys, and thanks for commissioning such an awesome piece!

  • yeah sorry its such an easy song to sing I know

  • @SarinF yeah, it did go sharp at the end (1st sopranos)

but other than that, very nice!!!

  • ah, sang this with johrt many years ago.

  • @SarinF dont worry it's hard to stay on pitch with this song.

  • it is off key but it actually sounds really good like that, over all.

  • And, correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe the song is in a minor, and there aren't supposed to be any accidentals in that key.

  • Not saying that you guys did bad, my all county chorus did this, and honestly, I think the choir at my school is better than our all county choir lol. So the all county version of this wasn't too great.

  • I am mainly listening to the bass part, because i sung bass 3 for this in all county choir. At the very beginning, the bassi sing "blow blow ", which is comprised of the notes A2, E3, and F3 ( after the first two times it becomes F2). You guys are sharp from the very beginning, singing A#2, F4, and Gflat3. Around 1:30 you can tell you are getting a bit sharper, but officially at 1:54 you go half a step sharper than you started. The chord at 2:04-2:05 sounds really weird as well...
