Project Presence - Wallpaper

Project Presence is an experimental project which looks into
the future of non-verbal communication.

Wallpaper:
An interactive wallpaper distorts to
represent the silhouettes and movements of people in a distante enviroment.
This concept draws on the natural human awareness of other peoples bodylanguage.
If you look directly at the wall, face recognition software causes the image to disappear. As a result, people are
encouraged not to focus on the wall, but to see the outline of their close ones in their periphery vision.
A sense of non-invasive, unobtrusive
presence is achieved.
An iconic wallpaper pattern was chosen to illustrate the concept.
