It's the Sonic CD engine not the Sonic 1 engine.

This is like the Lost Vikings, sorry Sonic is supposed to be fast paced action platforming, this doesn't work for it, also i like how you really didnt do much for level design as this seems to copy Marina Madness from Knuckles Chaotix. Even Sonic Dark Chronicles was better than this

Looks nice, but the scrolling could do with some work. Ideally the camera should move ahead of Sonic, not behind him, so you can see more of where you're going. Thats pretty important in a fast game like Sonic.
