A short weld test using a Lincoln Powerwave 455 in pulse mode w/ 308 .035 wire & 98/2 gas. Just one of the things I do at work.

  • Good catch, but I almost never use a right glove when mig welding. I really should as you say.

  • Don't worry, everyone in that room sells welding supplies and knows not to look directly at the arc.

  • why would you use pulse? in the flat position, standard spray transfer is better.

  • Not on thin plate. Spray transfer is too hot alone. Besides you get a better bead appearance with pulse. If you have a twin pulse machine it appears as if you TIG welded it.
