Teochew Opera: 破镜重圆 4

Lady Guan reveals to her daughter that the Prime Minister is not her real father; it is in fact General Xu. She narrates the events of the past, his dastardly deeds and schemes. The daughter is aghast to learn this as, all this whiles, she has been plotting with her father the Prime Minister to harm General Xu. In fact tonite the henchmen of the Prime Minister will ambush General Xu when he arrives at the city gate.

National Grade I Performer 刘小丽 as Lady Guan. The GuangDong Province Teochew Opera Academy First Company 广东潮剧院一团, performing on 16th Dec 2011 at the Kreta Ayer Peoples' Theatre, Singapore. This was the final night of their 7-day opera season here.
