Spiraalina tehty aloitus, jolla saa pyöreän kärjen kintaisiin tai sukkiin. Virkataan kolmen silmukan ketju, joka yhdistetään renkaaksi. Työtä jatketaan kinnasneulalla. Koska aloitusilmukoita on vain vähän, täytyy silmukoita lisätä tavallista enemmän, esim. kolme uutta jokaiseen virkattuun silmukkaan.

Spiral start of a mitten or sock, makes a rounded top. Crochet three loops, and connect them into a circle. Then continue work with a nalbinding needle. As there are only few loops, you need to increase plenty, e.g. three new loops into every crocheted loop.

Please do notice that the movements are slow on purpose, and that due to some difficulties combining suitable light and the position of the video camera, and that I wanted to see my hands both irl and on the small video screen, I had to keep my arms and hands in a bit akward and clumsy position, so the movements may not look "natural".
