I knew Donna in 1962 and worked with her on a show in Sunderland.
She was a great singer and i remeber her with affection.

People get confused because the TV Donna Douglas did actually release a song at around the same time: "He's So Near."

Donna's follow-up single in April 1962 was "Matelot" . . . and again (like "Message In A Bottle") it mysteriuosly missed the UK Top 50.

Recorded on piccadilly records uk 1962. Also recorded on piccadilly: He's so near-1963, and It's a pity to say goodnight also 1963. I have all three of the talented Donna's records.

So, this is the same Donna Douglas from "The Beverly Hillbillies" from the 60's here in the states? Wow! She is/was very beautiful! I love her chaacter as Ellie May Clampett ~ what a gal!
